What i like in this headset: - hearing footsteps I guess that from having a good sound switching to something else you can really tell the difference.

and the funny thing is that you can only turn off or lower Mic Self voice in the Windows sound device setting, there is no option for it in the Logitech Gaming Sofware, or not for this headset at least, because i was told that with G933 you can do that too in the LGSoftware.įrom now on, i'm not sure which headset could satisfy me. So this thing is called "Self-voice" - The microphone has this static noise sh*t (which wasn't the case if i connected the headset through the 3.5 jack, but then i couldnt use the mic, nor the Logitech sw recognized the device lol) But hte point is you can mute down this slef voice thing and then the static noise stops, but then when you talk it is bad, because you cant hear your voice back whick makes your head feel stuffed/covered etc. (It doesnt matter if you lower the mic volume itself that is different) Headset volume was on 50-60%, i changed up a lil bit and even on 70% it is kinda annoying. The headset mic's hs this sh**tty Static noise what you can hear even in-game. then i searched for it and went through the whole thingy. (dull sound?)Ībout the mic: after the first minute i installed the headset yesterday: i had this weird noise. I've tried stereo too for few hours and the sound quality differs here too as i used to have from speakers. Also i was on TeamSpeak and that sounded sh*t too. i mean the directions are okay, but the sound tone or whatever is it it has this plastic fake echo. 7.1 started to be good thing first but the sound quality here is the worst. The whole sound tone, sound colour thing pretty bad (?) Needs to admit the sound quality is by far from my speaker's sound quality. At first thing, i thought is awesome but i had to realise it is not. So i got myself this headset, a Logitech G430 for PUBG. The only problem with it is as with others speakers you could not hear footsteps and the other minor sounds since it is not on your head. It's not hte newest speaker, but i think it is pretty good how it sounds. Actually i was using Logitech X-540 speaker system but only in 2.1 or mainly stereo. So i wasn't much into this headset thingy, i've been playin on speakers. Logitech G430 is pretty bad for me i think. I also have the G502 and G410 so I won't be getting rid of LGS any time soon.Headset discussion. Thanks! There's a lot of great information in there.

If you stick with the on-board and you don't have anything else logitech you can remove the software, one less thing running. Since you can't use both just pick one and run with it, based on my experience I would say the on-board with SBX would sound better and give you more control, but may also be good to switch between and compare.

Since then I have upgraded to a Sound Blaster Play!3 and I do much prefer the SBX surround it does give you much more control. I had the G430, the usb surround on it was quite good IMO for games and movies no doubt.

The Logitech software is only going to recognize the Logitech USB sound card, not your on board sound - that will be managed in your sound control panel and the SBX software. The large majority are simple stereo L+R with virtual surround modes.

Well the whole surround on headphones is a bit of a misconception, there are very few actual 5.1+ surround headphones since the drivers are so small there is no quailty output from them.
